Living abroad is a shot in the dark, you never know what’s going to happen, but at the same time you need to make plans.
You take the risk of the unknown, sometimes it is exciting, sometimes it makes you overthinking and feel nervous. You have to be ready for wherever is going to happen, but you definitely will never be ready for everything.
It’s a “grand” adventure that you’ll never be fully prepared for it. Each experience makes you learn more, grow more and faster.
You create and quit habits. You get to know yourself better more and more, cause now it’s just you for yourself.
You learn how fast life can run and how important is to enjoy each day, each hour, because you REALLY don’t know about tomorrow (like if you’re going to be homeless in Dublin).
You start to understand more about relationships. How you must enjoy the people you love NOW, ‘cause tomorrow they may be in another country and you don’t know when you’re going to be able to hug them again. However, this makes you figure out that the true connections that you have can be stronger than the distance.
Immigrant life is not easy, but maybe that’s what makes it so special and exciting.
